Smooth and Slow
Not long after starting I came across this trail. Groomed perfectly smooth and untouched. It was perfect, except that the snow was REALLY slow. I ended up doing more classic skiing than skating on my skate skis. Even without wax, the kick was great!

Smooth sailing
Okay, maybe I took a few too many pictures of the trail. But if you had virtually unlimited miles of perfectly groomed snow just for you, you'd be excited about it too!

Sunset on Mounts Sanford, Drum and Wrangell.
