Brian and I ended up being well-matched for this race. He was a little faster on the bike and I was a little faster towards the end of the run, but overall we were able to go at a pretty fast pace that was comfortable for both of us. Our strategy was to enjoy the race and not be seriously competitive about it. When we found ourselves in the lead, we started to get a bit more competitive, but we tried not to let it consume us. I think we had a lot of fun.
