After we arrived on Friday afternoon, we wanted to get in a short ski before it got dark. Unsure of the conditions, grabbed our classic gear and headed out onto the lake. Turns out the lake would have been beautiful skating. The snow had been windblown into a firm crust - you could ski anywhere! The Blue loop shows our route on Friday. We checked out a few cabins on the islands, they came back along shore to see a few more cabins. I started dreaming of how we could get our own place up here. The rest of the day was spend eating a great dinner, reading by the fire, and waiting for Northern Lights (we saw a few glimpses).
