On Sunday, April 17, Bill, Scott and I decided to explore the crust skiing in the Center Creek drainage near Turnagain Pass. This is an area that Tim Kelley and Tim Miller showed me last spring. Upper Center Creek has beautiful crust - the trick is to get there. You start from the Johnson Pass Trailhead, and then have to find your way up and over a small forested ridgeline before dropping into the open expanses of crust. Easier said than done....
