On Saturday, we did the Oosik. Sorry, no pictures from the Oosik, we were too busy skiing. Here's an Oosik article from the newspaper. It was a classic Oosik course: a narrow, scenic trail winding through the woods and lakes of Talkeetna, with a few challenging downhills. The course was in good shape thanks to all the hard work done by the Mannix clan and other volunteers. Then, after the race, there was a really great party in Talkeetna. No pictures from that either, but it was, by far, the best post-race party of the year. Lots of great foods, drinks, and desserts. A n excellent band and a slide show of classic Alaska skiing. You should have been there.
