We should have brought a frisbee for this field! Right after crossing this field the trail drops about 1000 off the ridge into a wooded area called 'Bitch Creek.' The name speaks for itself. It was a nice change of scenery, but the scenery up on the ridge is so nice, why would you want to change it? We spooked a big sow black bear and cub on our way down to Bitch Creek. Linda and Klein were yelling a lot, to let the bears know we were coming, so we passed without a problem.
