Its tough to make outdoor plans this time of year in Alaska. Every day the forecast says, "Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain" which means "We have no idea what the weather is going to do." Basically you have to wake up in the morning, see what the weather is doing and then make plans accordingly.
On Sunday, Sept 25, it looked like it might be a decent day, so Linda and I grabbed our mountain bikes and headed to the Kenai Peninsula to ride the Johnson Pass trail.
